Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the imglab website at imglab.app and the image tools and informational pages made available through it. It does not apply to websites or services operated by third parties, even when imglab links to them.

2. Images used with standard browser tools

Standard tools process the image you select locally in your browser. The selected image and generated result are held by your browser and device for the active workflow. imglab does not receive a copy of that image through the standard local-processing workflow.

Local processing does not mean that a browser can handle every file. Large dimensions, complex files, limited device memory, or unsupported codecs can prevent processing. Closing or refreshing the page normally clears the active in-memory workflow, but downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

3. AI image tools

AI tools that require cloud processing upload the selected image to a processing service and identify that behavior before processing. Uploaded files are removed after the processing purpose is complete, typically within 24 hours, unless a longer period is required for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, resolving a user-requested support issue, or another reason disclosed by that tool.

An AI tool may provide additional information about its processor, processing location, or retention behavior when those details differ from this general policy. Do not upload an image that you are not authorized to process.

4. Information collected when you visit

The website host and network infrastructure may process standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, response status, browser information, and security-related events. The exact hosting provider and retention configuration should be added to this policy when verified.

5. Optional analytics

imglab is configured to support Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity in production. These services are not loaded merely because their configuration IDs exist. The site first presents an analytics choice, and the analytics integrations load only after you select “Accept.”

If accepted, analytics providers may process device, browser, approximate location, page interaction, and cookie or similar identifier data to help imglab understand how the site is used. imglab does not intentionally send the contents of locally selected image files to analytics providers. Microsoft Clarity session information must be configured to avoid capturing sensitive form content.

You can decline optional analytics without losing access to the available image tools. Your choice is stored in local browser storage under imglab-analytics-consent. To reset the choice, clear site data for imglab.app in your browser. Provider handling is also subject to the applicable Google and Microsoft privacy terms.

6. Support communications

If you email [email protected], imglab receives the information you include, such as your email address, message, attachments, and related correspondence. That information is used to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain an appropriate support record. Avoid sending private images or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and you understand the risk.

7. Cookies and local storage

The current site uses local storage to remember whether optional analytics were accepted or declined. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may set or access cookies or similar technologies only after acceptance. Strictly necessary hosting or security systems may use technical storage where required to operate or protect the site.

8. How information is used

Information received by imglab may be used to provide and secure the website, remember privacy choices, respond to support, diagnose failures, understand aggregate usage after consent, prevent abuse, comply with legal duties, and improve available tools. imglab does not claim to sell personal information and does not use locally processed image content for advertising.

9. Service providers and disclosures

Information may be processed by hosting, security, email, analytics, and AI-processing providers only as needed for their applicable function. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or support a business reorganization. A verified list of material providers and processing locations should be added before final legal approval.

10. Retention

Locally processed images are not retained by an imglab server through the standard tool workflow. Analytics retention follows the configured provider settings after consent. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. AI uploads are removed typically within 24 hours, subject to the exceptions and tool-specific notice described above.

11. Security

imglab uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Local processing reduces server transfer for supported standard tools but does not remove risks on the user’s own device, browser, extensions, network, or downloaded-file location.

12. International visitors and privacy rights

imglab serves a global audience. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about certain disclosures. You may also have the right to withdraw consent for optional analytics. Applicable rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction.

Send a request to [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. imglab may need to verify the request and cannot retrieve image files that were only processed locally and never received.

13. Children

imglab is not directed to children under 13, and optional Microsoft Clarity tracking must not target users known to be under 18. Do not submit personal information or use upload-based tools on behalf of a child without appropriate authority and any required consent.

14. Changes

This policy may be updated as tools, providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when a material update is published. An AI tool may include a more specific notice when its upload or retention behavior differs from this policy.
